Therapist
I firmly believe that building a strong and collaborative therapeutic relationship with the client is truly what fosters the resilience within that person to overcome the barriers they may be experiencing to a forward-moving and positive mindset. I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rhode Island College in Providence, RI. I also hold an Associate Mental Health Counselor License (LMHCA) in the state of Rhode Island. Additionally, I received a double bachelor’s degree in Chemical Dependency and Addiction Studies, and Psychology, as well as a minor in Behavioral Neuroscience.
I use a trauma-informed, solution-focused, and strengths-based approach to therapy with therapeutic interventions foundational of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), individualized to each client around their unique needs. I bring my genuine self along with compassion and empathy to create a safe and non-judgemental therapeutic space for a client to feel heard.
